BREATHABLE SARKING
PERMO AIR
Breathable roof sarking is commonly utilized in buildings where the external cladding or tiles are not totally watertight or moisture resistant. The breather sarking is situated beneath the support for the tiles on the cold side of a roof’s insulation to prevent anything from penetrating the structure and allow water vapour to escape from within a building without the need for ventilation.
Improve the performance of your roof
Permo Air (a best selling breathable membrane) is available from Classic Slate Roofing. Permo Air is a pitched roof air-open roof underlay with minimal resistance. It’s the best option when there’s a large possibility of condensation collecting in the roofspace, especially during a building’s drying out period. The BBA-approved and NHBC-accepted Permo Air roof membrane eliminates the need for additional high-level ventilation, saving time and money.
Features and Benefits:
- Air open & vapour permeable.
- More breathable than any other ‘air open’ underlay on the market by over 13%.
- All breathable membranes have the lowest vapour resistance.
- Suitable for cold and warm roofs.
- Condensation is reduced much further by being both air open and vapour permeable.
- Superior tear resistance of the nails.
- Material is 3 layers thick and durable.
- It has been authorized by the BBA and the NHBC as not requiring any additional high-level ventilation, making it a time and cost-effective solution.
